Before Japanese bathhouses, Roman baths or Turkish hammams, the Greeks had already established public baths that would inspire other cultures for millennia. Though humble by comparison to the public baths of the cultures they inspired, the Greeks created remarkably sophisticated baths with hot and cold pools, showers, steam baths, sand baths and even aromatic baths where herbs including spearmint were quite popular. Our Thermae ritual collection features essential oils of spearmint and a hint of earthy patchouli. It has proven to be equally popular with men and women.

Thermae Detoxifying Body Polish & Soak is a combination body scrub and sea clay mineral soak, richly scented with spearmint and patchouli essential oils. It can be used on damp skin as a dry salt rub to buff dead skin away or as a detoxifying mineral soak to purify and relax body and soul.
To use as an exfoliator, massage into damp skin and rinse rough, dry, ashy skin down the drain. To use as a detoxifying mineral bath add 2 tablespoons- about a cupped handful- under running water and soak for 20 minutes or more. Follow with Thermae Organic Cooling Balm.
